Dr. Jae-Young Lee is an Associate Professor of Bioengineering and Drug Delivery Systems at the College of Pharmacy, Seoul National University (SNU). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 2011 and his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics in 2016, both from SNU. Before joining SNU as a faculty member in 2023, he served as an Assistant Professor (2017–2021) and Associate Professor (2021–2023) at Chungnam National University (CNU).

Dr. Lee leads the BioEngineering and Drug Delivery Systems (BEDDS) Laboratory, where his team develops protein nanocluster systems and bioinspired nano-platforms for targeted drug delivery, cancer therapy, and molecular imaging. His research focuses on functional protein-based nanomaterials and translational delivery systems for precision therapeutics, particularly in tumor targeting, intracellular delivery, and biomaterial engineering. By integrating bioengineering, nanotechnology, and pharmaceutical sciences, his laboratory aims to advance next-generation therapeutic platforms with improved efficacy, selectivity, and clinical potential.

Dr. Lee has published numerous high-impact studies in the fields of nanomedicine, biomaterials, and drug delivery and serves as an Editorial Board Member of the journals Journal of Controlled Release and Drug Delivery and Translational Research. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation.
